About us

Established in 1991 we are registered to take a maximum of 18 children per session between the ages of two and a half and five years old, providing high quality childcare and preschool education, giving priority to the development needs and happiness of our children and their families in a safe, nurturing and stimulating care environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ playschool and have a positive impact on our local children and community that we serve.

Set within the grounds of Polesden Lacey Infant School, we occupy our own classroom and have our own playground. We also have access to the wonderful facilities that the school provides including our own allotment and access to the Orchard.

Polesden Lacey Playschool is a charity organisation registered with the Charities Commission and run by a volunteer parent Committee. We really value the knowledge and experience of our staff team and are very supportive of new ideas, initiatives and suggestions being made. We are passionate about our environment and currently working towards our Plastic Free Nurseries Accreditation and would love to explore the possibility of including forest school as part of our curriculum. There is therefore the potential of forest school training, as well as career progression and management opportunities in the future for the right candidate.
