Swans
Our Swans sessions are designed for our oldest children, who will start school in the following September.

We can offer full day sessions for our Swans, to help prepare them for the longer days expected when they begin school.
A Typical Day as a Swan
These sessions are run in a similar way to the Cygnets but are particularly suited to children who will be starting school the following September.
Children bring a packed lunch in to eat with their peers - an important social activity which helps them to prepare for school life. All children take part in a whole group activity at the end of each session, taking advantage of their increasing levels of concentration.

Mornings begin with register time, a chance to discuss the sessions theme and share news as a whole group.

Then it is time for the children to choose from a number of activities, both indoors and outdoors. These include:
-
Sand play
-
Water play
-
Painting
-
Playdough
-
Computer Time
-
Arts and Crafts
-
Dressing up and role play
-
Table top activities

The children have access to a snack bar, where they can have a drink and share healthy snacks.

Weather permitting, the children go outside to play either in the playground or the orchard, or they may go into the school hall for music and movement.
This is usually followed by story time and an opportunity for "show and tell", where the children can talk about items they have brought in relating to the theme.

We offer cookery sessions on a weekly basis and spend a lot of time in the allotment planting flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables that we can make use of in our cooking.
Early Bird & After School Clubs
We run an Early Bird Club (from 8:30 - 9:00am) and an After School Club (from 3:00 - 3:15pm).

Early Bird is charged at £5 per session and includes breakfast if required.

After School Club is charged at £2 per session.

They can be a one off or regular booking, but are subject to availability and should be booked in advance with our Administrator.
